By combining the accessibility of urgent care with the clinical excellence of primary care, we can offer same-day appointments, personalized attention, and respect for you and your time. We firmly believe that efficiency does not mean a rushed patient experience; you'll get the time you need to ensure all your questions are answered.

Scheduling an appointment when you’re unexpectedly feeling sick is simple with One Medical. Our Washington, DC, offices all offer convenient same-day or next-day appointments that accommodate your schedule. No waiting, no hassle, just quality health care from a One Medical provider. We are also proud to offer our members 24/7 access to care from our Virtual Medical Team, so talking to an experienced health care professional has never been easier. If you’re feeling under the weather, come see a member of our urgent care team and get the upper hand on your ailment. Simple as that. And, if you aren’t available during the week, our Dupont Circle office is open on Saturday for your convenience.

Is this urgent care?

Not exactly. One Medical offers primary care services, but our highly-trained, experienced providers can address a wide range of urgent and acute concerns. We treat the majority of conditions that people have when they go to urgent care centers, and we provide the right care in any of our offices. And we offer same-day appointment availability and 24/7 access to our clinical team, which is a great option for urgent and immediate medical needs.

This means you won’t spend the day wondering how long you’ll have to wait for your name to be called before you’re hastily rushed through the appointment process. Instead, you can book your appointment online, on our app, or on the phone, and show up to our offices knowing your session will start on time.

If you have a concern after-hours or are unsure whether you should go straight to an urgent care facility or the nearest emergency room, please call our office to be connected with a member of the One Medical team. We can help assess your situation, assist with appointment scheduling as needed, or direct you to the closest alternate option.

Why would I go to One Medical rather than to traditional urgent care?

At One Medical, you’ll get the benefit of same-day and next-day appointments, 24/7 virtual support, and the ability to email your provider with any follow-up questions. You’ll also have access to all of our services for your more routine medical care, or even treatment of chronic conditions.

To save you the hassle of traditional Washington, DC walk-in clinics, we encourage you to call or schedule your appointment online or on the mobile app. This way we can ensure you get prompt treatment when you arrive.

One Medical securely maintains all of your medical records electronically, so you’ll also be able to see providers in any of our offices and in any of the markets we service while avoiding costly ER and urgent care visits. So if you’re traveling, or just across town, it’s easier than ever to see a doctor.

What if I need a prescription?

No problem. We make it easy to request and renew prescriptions. During your appointment, you will collaborate with your provider to create the best treatment plan to fit your needs. If that plan includes a medication, our office can send an electronic prescription to the pharmacy of your choice, and you can pick it up there at your convenience. And you can always request prescription renewals through our mobile app.

What if I need support after hours or during the weekend?

We know you have a busy schedule; that’s why we offer extended office hours in the evening and on Saturdays at select locations. If you don’t see a time that works for you, call us to see if there is additional availability.

Our members also have access to 24/7 care from our Virtual Medical Team. You can call or email our team any time and they will reply with personalized support. The team member you connect with will be able to access your medical records and help develop an appropriate treatment plan. There is no additional charge for using our Virtual Medical Team.
